The service is specifically designed to support patients and carers with needs relating to a cancer diagnosis and cancer treatments. The service may extend to patients requiring pre-diagnosis support when a cancer diagnosis is highly expected.

The aim of the service is to provide holistic support to patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. This might include informational support, symptom management, social and emotional support, and financial advice on health related benefits.
What to expect on your first appointment
The first appointment usually comprises a ‘Holistic Needs Assessment’ which identifies unmet physical, social, and emotional needs. Through this intervention, appropriate resources can be made available to those who need them in a timely manner.
