Tissue Viability (TVN)
The Tissue Viability Service provides specialist support for people with complex wounds or wounds that are difficult to heal. The service aims to improve healing, prevent complications and support the best possible outcomes through expert wound care advice and treatment planning.

About the team
The team is made up of specialist nurses with advanced knowledge of wound management. They work closely with community nurses, hospital teams, GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive appropriate and effective wound care. The service operates Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm excluding Bank Holidays.
Who this service is for
We can usually help if:
- You have complex wounds requiring specialist advice or management
- You have wounds are not healing as expected
- You require specialist assessment to support wound healing
We may not be the right service if:
- You have wound care needs that can be managed through community nursing or GP services without specialist input
